Why the 2020 Census Matters for Your Org, and What You Can Do to Support It

Visit https://www.comnetwork.org/ for more.

Real challenges have plagued the 2020 Census—from the failed addition of a citizenship question that stoked fear in communities to shuttered operations in the wake of the pandemic.

The 2020 Census will guide the distribution of political power, and it will direct $1.5 trillion annually to communities across the nation through federal programs that impact education, healthcare, infrastructure, disaster recovery, and more.

Fair Count, a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization founded by Stacey Abrams, is working to make sure that historically undercounted communities receive their fair share of federal funding and political power for the next decade.

Join us to see what’s at stake for our nation and what you can do to help us get a fair and accurate count.

We covered:

How the Census affects the myriad issues foundations and nonprofits seek to solve

What the challenges facing the 2020 Census are

How communicators can get the word out and address those challenges
